[important]The Sopron Wine Region[/important] area of around 1,800 hectares of vineyard. The 2000th revised and expanded its annual wine law divided the area into two divisions: 1. Sopron, 2. Kőszeg area. Climate in the Alpine region typically cool and rainfall is relatively rich. The hills on the southern slopes of heat and light have enough in the early and medium maturity grapes. The area is most important red wine grape types – the “Kékfrankos” – a regular high-quality wine room. The Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot and Zweigelt varieties also being installed. The white wines of the Sopron wine region in the Chardonnay, the Early red Veltelini, “Leányka”, Ottonel Muscat and “Tramini” is the best known.
